NCAA Rules Committee Opens Up Debate We've All Been Waiting For: Can Schools Give Athletes Fish Oil?
Wow. I didn’t think this day would ever come. Everybody has been clamoring for this debate to happen. The student-athletes deserve it. All the money in the world is being exchanged for their talents on a daily basis. This is the least they can do is compensate the athletes to help them with their health. They put their health on the line every single practice and game. The least the administrators could do is open up the door to a conversation on this topic:
Oh, wow:
Imagine telling these schools they can’t distribute omega 3 fatty acids to student-athletes. What’s next? Steroids?
Having to debate over whether or not a school can give their student-athletes fish oil reminds me of every suburban house mother acting as if taking creatine & whey protein was equivalent to taking steroids:
I don’t know if anyone reading takes fish oil, but the liquid stuff is no bueno for me. Shit’s gross. As for the pills, I like them, but if they go down the wrong drain…..buddy….your entire day of eating could be ruined.
